This is the banner that I made for the Excel TECC Web Newsletter which can be found at this link. I also wrote the article.
Interactive Halloween Greeting
The students took pictures of each other in certain positions relating to their idea. With the photos imported into Macromedia Flash, the students outlined the parts needed for their project. Each part that moved was on a diffrent layer, which would be animated later. With the pictures and parts colored, the peices where moved into position using the timeline and the transformation tool. Along with tween the animation was finished.
Then the students created buttons with behaviors and actions. The animation was then interactive so that the viewer could control the character in the animation.
Artist's Note: I'm Samara from Ringu.
Flash Buttons
The students got to make their own interactive buttons. Drawing the symbol then making a copy of it and converting it into a graphic and then a button. Along with a movie clip copy so the button moved and showed a little animation when the mouse rolled over it. Sounds were then added using the Sound Forge program. Sounds would then be played when the mouse rolled over the image and when the button was clicked on.
Artist's Note: I really like the kitty. I maded the click sound and the cat "mraw?" -ing. Yes, and buttons shouldn't be a long animation, along with the sounds.
Flash Animation
Here is an independant project that every student was asked to do. Though it's not complete, it does have a little more than the Halloween greeting flash. In this flash, there are four charaters originally created by me. The plot is that they're trying to take a family photo.
Artist's Note: I don't really know if I will finish this flash, It was fun, but I think I choose a difficult idea for just a starter.
Flash Picture
This is another independant project, not requested by the teacher. It's not an animation, it's just a still picture drawn in flash. Here the six people were originally created by me. This picture displays positions and costume designs.
Artist's Note: Because they are my characters I felt I should draw them, also needed to work on costume design. And Yes, they do have animal ears.
